Comedian Ty Barnett, a regular on CBS’s “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” will perform Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Ferris State University.
The Chicago native’s show, at 8 p.m. in the Rankin Student Center Dome Room, is free and sponsored by Entertainment Unlimited.
“After watching more than 100 potential performers, we thought Ty was great,’ said Evan Pazkowski, an EU Executive Board programmer. “He has all sorts of humor compiled into one, and is just an all-around funny guy. That’s why we chose him.”
Barnett first gained attention on the comedy circuit after being voted “Up-and-Coming Comedian of the Year” in 2002 at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. He has been featured on “Comedy Central Presents,” NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and HBO’s “Bad Boys of Comedy,” and was a runner-up on the fourth season of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”
“With midterms coming up, this is a great way for students to get their mind off the stress and just enjoy themselves, plus it’s a free event,” Pazkowski said. “I think students will really enjoy his performance.”
