The Ferris State University Theatre Department will present the romantic comedy “Legally
Blonde: The Musical” on Thursday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 4 in Williams Auditorium.
The production is based on the novel “Legally Blonde” by Amanda Brown and the 2001 blockbuster film of the same name about a sorority girl who tries to win back her ex-boyfriend by enrolling at Harvard Law School. The story also inspired a Tony Award-nominated Broadway musical and subsequent tour.
More than 50 Ferris students are involved in the production, including members of Alpha Psi Omega, The Improv Group and a variety of other student organizations.
“The musical was chosen not only because of its popularity, but because it is a great production,” said Associate Professor of Theatre Arts Katherine La Pietra.
Show times are 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets
are $4 for students, $6 for seniors and $8 for adults, available at the Williams Auditorium
box office or online at www.ferris.edu/arts/boxoffice.htm. For more information, call (231) 591-5600.
