President Eisler Appointed to Board for American Association of State Colleges and Universities

David Eisler, president of Ferris State UniversityFerris State University President David Eisler has been appointed to the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ Board of Directors as announced at the association’s annual meeting held on Tuesday, Oct. 30 in New Orleans.

Eisler has served as president of Ferris since July 2003.  During his time at Ferris, the university has grown from approximately 11,800 students to a Fall 2012 enrollment of 14,533. Under Eisler’s leadership, Ferris has also dedicated new facilities for its Michigan College of Optometry, College of Pharmacy and Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids.

In addition to Eisler’s appointment, Mary Evans Sias, president of Kentucky State University, based in Frankfort, Ky., was named chair of the AASCU Board of Directors.
