Students in Ferris State University’s Graphic Media Management program were awarded
nearly $70,000 in scholarships from the Printing and Graphics Scholarship Foundation
and the Ann Arbor Graphic Arts Memorial Foundation.
Scholarships from the PGSF ranged from $1,500 to $5,000 annually, while each student granted an A2GAMF scholarship received $2,500. Ferris’ Graphic Media Management students are consistent winners of these scholarships, said professor Pat Klarecki.
“Both scholarships are awarded based on academics, essays and recommendations. The A2GAMF scholarship is particularly available to students who are working toward a degree in Graphic Production, and the only other major program in Michigan comes from Western Michigan University,” Klarecki said. “Being awarded these scholarships so consistently is a testimony to the level of students we have studying here at Ferris and the high demand for graduates of Graphic Media Management.”
Ferris students who have earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Graphic Media Management have seen 100-percent job placement with the best students receiving as many as three job offers to choose from, Klarecki said.
