Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society Inducts 13 Ferris Students

Julie A. DoyleThirteen students in Ferris State University’s Hospitality Management Program have been inducted into the Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society student chapter.

Eta Sigma Delta is the International Council on Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Education Honor Society that recognizes hospitality management students for academic excellence. The intent of ESD Honor Society is that it will lead hospitality educators and professionals to the highest levels of proficiency and accomplishment in the industry.

In order to be considered, students must have a 3.0 grade point average or higher at a university with a 4.0 grade point average scale system, and must be ranked in the top 20th percentile in their class standing.

“We are so proud of these hospitality students and their achievements,” said Hospitality Management Program Coordinator and Eta Sigma Delta Honor Society advisor Julie A. Doyle. “We have high expectations for them and look forward to the positive impact they will make in the future.”

The Feb. 28 induction ceremony was attended by several Hospitality Management Program Advisory Board members, Ferris administrators and guests.
