The Ferris State University Theatre department will present the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical for mature audiences, “Avenue Q,” Thursday, March 29 through Sunday, April 1 in Williams Auditorium. Showtimes are 8:00 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The production, which beat uber-popular “Wicked” for the Best Musical Tony in 2004, tells the story of a recent college graduate named Princeton, who moves to New York with big dreams and a small bank account. He soon learns that, although his neighbors are nice, they are far from ordinary.
The Ferris Theatre Department is inviting students, faculty and staff, and the Big Rapids community to come see this humorous comedy featuring a cast of puppets and people.
“Avenue Q” addresses issues such as sex and drinking, and is not suitable for a younger audience.
Tickets are $4 for students, $6 for seniors and $8 for adults, available at the Williams Auditorium Box Office or online at www.ferris.edu/arts/boxoffice.htm. For more information, call (231) 591-5600.
