“Master of Mayhem” Wayne Hoffman will entertain Ferris State University students with magic, mind-reading and psychic stunts during a performance at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 in Williams Auditorium.
Hoffman’s performance, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by Entertainment Unlimited, the campus programming board. EU booked Hoffman after seeing him perform at the National Association of Campus Activities Conference.
“He has some very unique, mind-blowing magic tricks and creates unbelievable illusions,” said EU President Melissa Hanson. “Wayne showed us tricks we had never seen or heard of before, and he was so different from other magicians we had seen.”
Hoffman, who was 8 when his mother’s gift of a magic set sparked his interest, is considered one of the top performers in his field and one of the top mentalists in the world. He performs hundreds of shows each year at a variety of venues, including at colleges and universities, and at corporate and private events worldwide.
The 31-year-old has been featured on NBC’s “Phenomenon,” “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Howard Stern Show” and CNN’s “Glenn Beck,” among others.
