Magic and Mystery of Joseph Tran is Coming to Ferris on Aug. 30 in Williams

Joseph TranIllusionist and comedian Joseph Tran will bring his combination of stand-up magic and humor to Ferris State University’s Williams Auditorium at 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30.

Tran, a California native, is an “upbeat performer,” so Entertainment Unlimited members chose his performance to kick off the semester, said Melissa Hanson, president of the campus programming board.

“He gets the crowd excited and is fun to watch,” Hanson said. “He will please the crowd and keep people engaged with his magic tricks and humor.”

Trained in theater and improvisation, Tran is known for close-up sleight-of-hand magic and modern-day stage illusions. He has performed for Fortune 500 companies, in feature film, live television and concerts.

“His humor makes him unique,” Hanson said. “He will make the audience laugh while wowing them with his magic.”
