Ferris State University has announced that Brad McCormick, an associate professor in the College of Allied Health Sciences, has been appointed as interim chemical hygiene officer.

McCormick is currently chair of the Hazardous Substance Awareness and Compliance Committee.  As interim chemical hygiene officer, he will provide guidance and authority in developing and implementing the chemical hygiene plan for Ferris laboratories. McCormick will remain in the position until a permanent, full-time officer is hired.

“I encourage people to seek Brad’s assistance as they continue to ensure that our laboratories are safe and compliant learning spaces for our students,” said Paul Blake, associate provost of Academic Operations.
