Ferris State University senior Mindi Ashby, of Reed City, received the a Student Excellence Award this April after she was nominated by Thomas Mehl, an associate professor in the College of Business.
“I am very excited to know that my achievements are being recognized for the hard work I have dedicated over the years,” Ashby said.
An Advertising and Integrated Marketing Communication major, Ashby was recognized for working above and beyond her responsibilities as a student, becoming involved with two campus student organizations: Student Government and The AdGroup.
Ashby is Student Government chair and an AdGroup representative.
The daughter of Gidget and James, Ashby has worked on the National Student Advertising Competition two years in a row and earned Dean’s List honors in the College of Business.
