Ferris State University’s Student Government Association is set to begin its fourth annual Holiday Food Drive in time for a holiday season that includes Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Each year the Holiday Food Drive Committee of Student Government sets up food bins in campus residence halls and other university buildings for people to drop off donations. This year’s food drive begins on Monday, Nov. 14 and runs through Monday, Dec. 5. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to support these efforts through donations to help individuals and families during the upcoming holiday season.
“The Holiday Food Drive’s goal is to help local families during the holidays. All collected food items will be donated to Project Starburst. This is a great way for Ferris to give back to the local community,” said Carli Denholm, Holiday Food Drive Committee chair.
Items for donation can be left at designated locations, including college dean’s offices, residence halls, West Campus Community Center and East Campus Suites.
For more information, contact Carli Denholm at (231) 591-2611 or extension 2611 on campus.
