Annual MLK Celebration Freedom March Set for Jan. 16

MLK Freedom March 2011One of the biggest events of the year is the 2012 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom March as part of the upcoming MLK Celebration.

The Freedom March is set for Monday, Jan. 16 beginning at 3 p.m. in the Interdisciplinary Resource Center (IRC) Connector. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend and participate in this annual campus and community march. The MLK Freedom March is sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Services and the MLK Celebration Planning Committee.

Multicultural Student Services has coordinated the Freedom March for 25 years. The march commences in the IRC Connector and ends in the IRC Connector with brief comments from Ferris and community leaders.
