Blake Named Ferris' Associate Provost of Academic Operations

Paul BlakeFerris State University has announced that Paul Blake has accepted the position of associate provost of Academic Operations.

Blake’s appointment is effective at the start of the Spring 2012 Semester.

“I am delighted to announce that Dr. Paul Blake has accepted the position as the Associate Provost of Academic Operations,” said Fritz Erickson, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “I would like to thank all of the outstanding candidates who applied for this position, as well as many faculty and staff members for their input.”

Blake currently serves as the associate dean of Ferris’ College of Education and Human Services and is a professor of English.

Blake earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts in English from Ball State University and a Doctor of Philosophy in English from MSU. Blake also is a graduate of the Management Development Program at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education.

“Please join me in welcoming Dr. Paul Blake to his new position as Associate Provost of Academic Operations,” Erickson said. “I am looking forward to working with Paul as we all continue working together to further the university’s mission.”
