Ferris Prepares For Annual Meijer Madness

pictureFerris State University students can wrap up their back-to-school shopping and have lots of fun as part of Meijer Madness on Saturday, Aug. 27.

Meijer and Ferris are teaming up for the seventh annual event which begins at 8 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m. at the Big Rapids Meijer near Perry Avenue.

Meijer Madness provides Ferris students an opportunity to conduct back-to-school shopping and enjoy 10 percent off purchases of school-related items. Some restrictions do apply. As part of Meijer Madness, students benefit from gifts, coupons, food and raffles for prizes. In addition to Meijer, other local Big Rapids businesses participate in the event as students return to Ferris and prepare for the start of the Fall 2011 semester.

Shuttle buses will be available to transport students from campus to Meijer. Pick up and drop off points are the circle driveways at Rankin Student Center, Bond Hall, Travis Hall, Cramer Hall and West Campus Community Center. The bus picks up students every 15 minutes, beginning at 7:45 p.m.

For more information on Meijer Madness, contact Allissa Witucki in the Student Leadership and Activities office at (231) 591-2606.

The street address for the Big Rapids Meijer is 15400 Waldron Way.
