Oliver H. Evans, president and vice chancellor of Kendall College of Art and Design of Ferris State University, has been elected to serve on the board of directors of ArtServe Michigan.
ArtServe’s mission includes the development and cultivation of the creative potential of Michigan’s arts and cultural sector. The ArtServe Board of Directors is comprised of members from the state of Michigan who are actively engaged in public policy, business, cultural organizations, civic affairs, higher education, the legal profession and nonprofit work in their communities.
Evans, who has announced that he will retire as president of KCAD of Ferris in June 2012, has served at Kendall for 18 years, first as dean of the faculty, then as vice president for Academic Affairs, then briefly as interim president and finally in his current capacity, as president.
