Ferris State University senior Renee Urbanc received the College of Business Student Excellence Award.
The annual award is given to students who have achieved academic excellence throughout their college years. Urbanc was one of 18 recipients who were recognized for a 3.5 grade point average or higher during the Spring 2011 semester. Currently, Urbanc has a 4.0 GPA.
“It means a lot to maintain my grade point average, being a senior and still having my 4.0, and knowing people are recognizing my accomplishments,” Urbanc said.
Urbanc is a Music Industry Management major and was elected as the Music Industry Management Association (MIMA) Booking Agent for 2011. Dan Cronk, a Ferris MIMA advisor nominated Urbanc for the award.
Urbanc, daughter of Todd and Mary Urbanc, graduated in 2008 from Bark River-Harris High School.
