More than 70 percent of the decisions made by doctors are based on the results of laboratory testing. Graduates of the Medical Laboratory Science program perform important work, whether employed by a hospital laboratory, a blood donor center, a research laboratory, or in industry. Estimates indicate there will be about 9,000 jobs in clinical laboratories each year for the next 10 years, and about 4,000 to 5,000 graduates to take up those jobs. Salaries are increasing, and opportunities are boundless.
