What is Lynda.com?

Lynda.com is a unique online training system that allows users to learn how to use various software through the use of video training, sample files, and quick help guides. 

How do I get access to videos on Lynda.com?

Access to Lynda.com video training is available for free to Ferris employees. Please contact the Technology Assistance Center at 231-591-4822 or through email at TAC@ferris.edu to request an account. Accounts are centrally managed by the TAC.

How many licenses are available for use?

The TAC currently has a 20 concurrent-users license for access to Lynda.com videos. This means only 20 accounts can be active at any given time. The TAC manages these accounts. Accounts not in use may be deactivated to allow others to use the service. 

Will Lynda.com loose my progress if my account is deactivated? 

No. Lynda.com will remember your viewing history. You may call the TAC to have your account reactivated when you need to use the service again.

What do I need to do if my account is deactivated?

You will need to contact the TAC at 231-591-4822 or tac@ferris.edu to request your account be reactivated.
