FAQs

Want to try to connect your equipment yourself?

Steps to get your computer connected:

1. Connect your device physically in your room, or to the wireless network  (FSUStudent, or FerrisWifi) (if you don't see one of these, you may need to purchase a wireless access point, but call TAC for help first.)

1. Register Your Device   --- Have a Gaming Console? Register your computer(s) first. You may have up to 5 devices registered on the network.

2. Download software to install on your laptop or desktop.

3. If you would like, you can set up your computer to print to the front desk of your residence hall.

What does the iConnect software do?

The iConnect software is an automated program ensuring that student's computing devices will run smoothly on all of the Ferris State networks. STS technicians will assist students in running the software at the iConnect sessions.

The software installs many of the components needed to connect to the Ferris network, and also, uninstalls software that may cause conflicts with our network.
