Data Files On Your iPad

A very useful app that will make your data file management much easier is Dropbox. Dropbox is a free app that allows users to put their files in the "cloud." From the cloud, users have access to their files on any computer that also has Dropbox.

Instead of putting your pictures on a flash drive, and then uploading them separately onto each device, just put them in your Dropbox, and they'll be there waiting on any computer.

But remember, you'll still have to have the necessary apps to open files on your iPad. Just because you have Dropbox, it doesn't mean you'll be able to open files such as Microsoft Word documents without the Quickoffice Pro HD app.

Note: do not save any files with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to the “cloud.” Plain text files can easily be read by hackers while being sent.
