Outlook and Lync Installation for Mac OS X Users

In preparation for the move from Lotus Notes to Office 365 this spring, Mac OS X users will need to install Outlook and Lync on their Ferris owned computers.

You may do this by accessing the "FSU Software" link available on the dock.

The installation links for both Lync and Outlook are available inside the FSU Software window. Select the "Install" button under the application name to install it on the computer. If you do not find the install buttons, the software may already be installed on your computer.

To determine if the software is already installed on your computer, you may search for the application using the Spotlight at the top right corner of your computer screen. Select the Spotlight, then type in "lync" or "outlook" in the Spotlight entry box. The application will appear in the list if it is installed on the computer.

Please note that you will not be able to use Lync or Outlook until your department migrates mid semester.

How do I set up my Outlook / Office 365 account?

There are different instructions for two different scenarios:

1. If, when you log into your Apple computer, the id you use is your ShortID, (like your MyFSuID format), and your password that you use to login to your desktop/laptop is the same as your Active Directory (MyFSU) password, see this link for further instructions.

2. Follow this link for further instructions.
