Email/Lotus Notes for Employee

 

The standard e-mail and calendar package for Ferris State University employees and departments is Lotus Notes.

Each mailbox starts with a size of 250 MB.  Based on your department and role at the university, this size may be increased.

 

Lotus Notes may be accessed a number of different ways. The "client" software can be installed on your office computer and if you would like, your computer at home.

Note : Your Lotus Notes User ID must be loaded on your computer before you can use the client version of Lotus Notes. This should have been done by your support area for your office computer. You will need to copy this file onto your home computer to use the client version at home.

 

You can also access Lotus Notes via the web at fsunotes1.ferris.edu or fsunotes2.ferris.edu (if the fsunotes1 server is down, you might still be able to get to your mail using fsunotes2 - they are replicas of each other).

You can also access your mail from within MyFSU by clicking on the email icon on the top of the page.

In addition, some smart phones, iPads, and cell phones can be set up to access your Lotus Notes. Please see the Mobile Communications Device page for further information.
