Resetting your Active Directory password

Anytime you need to change your Active Directory password you may go to one of three places:

• https://pwdhelp.ferris.edu
• Log in to MyFSU, and go to the AD Password Status Channel on the MyFSU tab
• A link to this site is also available on the My Tech Support home page at http://www.ferris.edu/techsupport
  Click on the Faculty/Staff icon:
  Select from the Popular Topics list "Reset Your Active Directory Password"

 

When you arrive at https://pwdhelp.ferris.edu you will be prompted for your user id, be sure to insert "ferris_ad\" in front of your id or "@ferris.local" after your id:

 

 

After clicking "Next" you will be brought to a page to answer 2 of your challenge questions.  You must answer both correctly to reset your password.:

 

 

After clicking "Next" once again you will now be allowed to choose a new password.  Remember this password must have at least 8 characters which contain an upper case, lower case, and a numerical value.:
