Voicemail Issue

We have had reports of some problems with voicemail for Big Rapids campus faculty, staff, and campus housing residents. We have not been able to determine a pattern to which voicemail boxes are affected at this time; most are working fine, however, we would like you to test your voicemail and your access to it.

Any one of the access methods listed below could experience problems. If you cannot successfully complete step 1, you will not be able to complete steps 2 and 3; otherwise, please try all three of these steps.

  1. Try to call your office phone and leave a voicemail -If you get a message saying that you don't subscribe to the service, etc., stop at this step and contact Telecomm.
  2. Check your voicemail from your office phone
  3. Check your voicemail from an off campus number by calling (231) 591-5010. Note: this is a temporary number - it will return to the older one, (231) 591-5005, when the phone switch work is completed in mid-February.
