Michigan Tutorial Association Annual Connections Conference
Hosted by Ferris State University on Oct. 30, 2015
The Michigan Tutorial Association (MTA) held its 33rd Annual Connections Conference at Ferris State University in Big Rapids on Friday, October 30, 2015. This all-day conference showcased great speakers, engaging sessions, and provided opportunities for networking and professional exchanges with colleagues from all across the state and region.
The keynote speaker, Kyle Bowen, shared a strong vision for the future of technology; from creating spaces for one‐on‐one support to the creation of effective media for 'just‐in‐time' teaching and tutoring. Bowen serves as Director of Educational Technology Services at Penn State University and was formerly Purdue University's Director of Informatics. Additionally, he has done work as an editor and author and partnered in a startup company that publishes media content across different mobile devices.
The 2015 MTA Connections Conference was graciously hosted by the Ferris State University Academic Support Center and generously sponsored by the Associate Provost for Retention & Student Success.
