Computer Networks and Systems
Ferris has offerings in Computer Networks. The Computer Networks and Systems Bachelor of Science degree emphasizes networking (Cisco Networking Academy member), smart devices (embedded microprocessor devices), computer control, systems integration, digital/microprocessor theory and design and project management. CNS course work integrates laboratory exercises to further strengthen newly learned concepts and promotes hands-on skills most valued by potential employers.
Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology
The Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology prepares you to work in various electrical/electronics fields. The degree is taught in a very hands-on environment. EET is often connected to problems dealing with power transmission, motor controls and automation, as well as being associated with using electronics to transmit information. Graduates work in positions such as Control System Integrator, Product Designer, Embedded Systems Developer, Control and Network Specialist, Technical Sales Specialist or Electrical/Electronic Product Specialist.
Energy Systems Engineering
Ferris is offering a new Energy Systems Engineers (ESE) degree.In this field you will work for utilities, government, Architectural/Engineering firms and Businesses and industry. Their primary job is to solve energy related problems. They may work in a office or out in the field, designers, consultants and system engineers. While the job titles are diverse, all of these are related directly to energy production, control, management, etc. Many of these positions require experience to achieve all qualification requirements
The energy and closely associated process/instrumentation control fields both have a huge demand for engineers that can apply science and technology to design and implementation systems.
