Atwell LLC Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 Scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student majoring in the Surveying Engineering
program
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Student shall have demonstrated experience in on-campus surveying-related
student organizations.
M & M Surveying Engineering Annual Scholarship
One (1) $1,500 Scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time freshman student majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum 2.75 GPA
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Must be from the thumb region of Michigan (Huron, Lapeer, Sanilac, St. Clair, or Tuscola
county)
- Preference given to graduates of Sandusky High School from Sandusky, Michigan.
David R. Greer Surveying Engineering Endowed Scholarship
Award amount $500
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Undergraduate student in Surveying Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 2.75
- Financial need is considered*
- Must have demonstrated leadership potential through participation in professional
organizations, registered student organizations or other extracurricular activities
- Additional Requirements: Preference given to students at the junior or senior level
when they receive the award
Donald Lowell Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time junior or senior majoring in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is considered*
- Must be a member of the ACSM Student Chapter (Burt & Mullett)
- Must have a strong work ethic demonstrated through voluntary, professional and/or
community organizations and/or activities.
James David and Katy Moore Surveying Engineering Scholarship Endowment
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is considered*
John R. and Lynda D. Fenn Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $3,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering
program
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: The student shall have demonstrated interest in student,
local chapter, state and national level professional activities.
KEM-TEC Surveying, Engineering & Environmental Services Benchmark Scholarship
One (1) $1,000 or Two (2) $500 scholarships to be awarded
Divided equally between fall and spring semesters
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering
program
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Preference shall be given to students that demonstrate an enthusiasm for the surveying
engineering profession through participation in extra-curricular activities, internships
and professional society memberships.
- Preference shall also be given to students who are active members of the National
Society of Professional Surveyors; Burt & Mullet Surveying Chapter and/or Lambda Sigma
Surveying Honor Society.
Dr. Khagendra Thapa Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Will be junior or senior when they receive the award
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
Mary C. Feindt Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in Surveying Technology or Surveying Engineering
- Will be sophomore when they receive the award
- GPA is not considered
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be a female student in any surveying engineering program
with a good academic standing.
Matt and Sara Nawrocki Gratitude Scholarship Endowment
Scholarship amount varies annually
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore or junior student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
- The recipient shall be a member of Surveying Engineering-related Registered Student
Organization(s) at Ferris State University such as: the Burt and Mullet Chapter of
the American Congress on Surveying and Mapping and/or the Lambda Sigma Honor Society
- Mary Feindt Chapter.
- The recipient shall also demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm, leadership and involvement
in the Surveying Engineering program and the Big Rapids community.
Northern Chapter - Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors Annual Scholarship
One (1) $500 annual scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 2.00
- Financial need is considered*
- Preference given to students who are current members of the Michigan Society of Professional
Surveyors and from the geographic region covered by the Northern Chapter Michigan
Society of Professional Surveyors
Richard L. Rought Surveying Scholarship Endowment
One (1) $1,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time sophomore, junior or senior student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 2.00
- Financial need is considered*
- Preference given to residents of West Michigan
Robert C. Burtch Geodetic Surveying Annual Scholarship
One (1) $800 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Preference given to senior students; must have demonstrated leadership potential and
the capacity to contribute significantly to his or her chosen profession; must be
a member of American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) or Institute of Navigation
Roger E. Stephenson Surveying Scholarship
One (1) $2,000 scholarship
Divided equally between fall and spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Minimum GPA of 2.50
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Preference given to students from Berrien, Cass, St. Joseph, Van Buren or Kalamazoo
counties
Tingley & Associates Scholarship
One (1) $500 scholarship
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semester
- Undergraduate student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Will be sophomore or junior when they receive the award
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Additional Requirements: Must be a student member of the Michigan Society of Professional
Surveyors and a member of the Ferris State University Burt & Mullett Student Chapter
of ACSM; must demonstrate participation in offices and positions of leadership in
extra curricular and/or community activities and be a US citizen and a resident of
Michigan.
Dr. Vijay Mahida Surveying Endowed Scholarship
Award amount varies annually
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semester
- Full-time student enrolled in the Surveying Engineering program
- GPA is considered
- Financial need is NOT considered
- Preference given to minority students; sponsored students are not eligible to apply
Woolpert Inc. Annual Scholarship
One $3,000 scholarship
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semesters
- Undergraduate student enrolled in Surveying Engineering
- Will be a sophomore or junior when they receive the award
- Completed all first year course requirements
- Minimum GPA of 3.00
- Preference shall be given to students that have demonstrated experience in on-campus
surveying related student organizations.
- Preference shall be given to students that have demonstrated leadership in the classroom
or participated in extracurricular activities in 'on' and 'off' campus activities.
- Preference shall be given to students that have demonstrated interest in the broader
field of geospatial technologies including photogrammetry, remote sensing, geodesy
and GPS and lidar.
