Below are scholarships available to students enrolled in Plastics & Rubber Engineering Technology Programs at Ferris State University.

Chase Plastics Annual Scholarship
Two scholarships awarded for $1,500 each 

  • Full-time junior or senior enrolled in the Plastics Engineering Technology program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional requirements: Must be a member of the student chapter of Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) and/or professional and leadership organizations on and off campus; must demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career in plastics engineering.

Cory Myrie Memorial Scholarship Endowment
Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time junior or senior majoring in the Plastics Engineering Technology program
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional requirements:  minority students or under represented populations preferred.
  • Must submit completed application above 

 

Frank Marra Memorial Endowment Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time sophomore, junior or senior in the plastics program
  • GPA is not considered
  • Financial is not considered
  • Additional criteria: student must demonstrate leadership and innovation potential through involvement on campus or community activities.
  • Student must be an active participant in the Chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers or the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Frank and Mildred Justin Memorial Plastics Engineering Endowment Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time junior or senior enrolled in the plastics engineering program
  • GPA is not considered
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional criteria: A candidate shall be a citizen of the United States of America and be a resident of Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota or Wisconsin

Henry Tschappat Memorial Leadership Award Endowed Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually

  • Full-time student(s) enrolled in the plastics program
  • GPA is not considered
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional criteria: the recipient(s) need to present at a polymer industry conference. This activity may be in the form of a paper, poster, Powerpoint presentation or group presentation or other format that becomes the standard for determining achievement in the future.
  • Student must be an active participant in the Chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers or the Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

Rhein Chemie Annual Scholarship
Scholarship amount varies annually 

  • Full-time sophomore, juniors and seniors enrolled the rubber program
  • Minimum GPA of 3.00
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Additional criteria: Must be a member of the Ferris State Rubber Group; must demonstrate dedication to the rubber industry. Preference given to the Rubber program.
