Below are scholarships available to students enrolled in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology & Computer Networks and Systems Programs at Ferris State University. Two of them have their own application and the others share one application.

CCNA Certification Incentive Scholarship (Fall Scholarship)
(4) Four $100 scholarships [Fall scholarship]

  • Full-time junior enrolled in Computer Networks & Systems
  • GPA is considered (see additional criteria)
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional criteria:  Awarded to top (4) four performing students in ECNS 225; must complete ECNS 225; must be enrolled in ECNS 315; must provide a copy of official CCNA Certification Exam scores with application

John Deere Foundation Scholarship
(1) $3,000 scholarship
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semester

  • Full-time student enrolled in either the FSU Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Welding Engineering Technology programs with two to four semesters remaining until graduation  
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional Requirements: Be eligible for permanent employment in the United States at the time of graduation

Matt Lichtle Endowed Scholarship
Award amount varies annually
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semester

  • Full-time junior/senior in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Tech.
  • No minimum GPA
  • Financial need is considered*
  • Additional criteria: Must submit a minimum 250 word essay detailing why electrical/electronics engineering technology was chosen as a career path
  • Must submit completed application from above



McNaughton McKay Electric Company Scholarship
Award amount varies annually
Divided equally between Fall and Spring semester

  • Full-time junior/senior in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Tech.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in major; 2.5 cumulative
  • Financial need is not considered
  • Additional criteria: Must not have received any other industrial-sponsored scholarship in the same academic year
  • Must submit completed application from above
