A student on Disciplinary Probation is required to maintain a minimum of a 2.0 semester GPA with a minimum completion of 9 credit hours during the FIRST semester placed on probation if the Disciplinary Probation sanction becomes effective prior to the end of the tenth week of the semester. If the Disciplinary Probation sanction becomes effective after the beginning of the eleventh week of the semester, the 2.0 semester GPA with a minimum completion of 9 credit hours requirement would be effective for the NEXT ENROLLED semester. Failure to meet the academic requirements of Disciplinary Probation will result in a one semester suspension.
While academic requirements of Disciplinary Probation apply to a student s initial semester of Disciplinary Probation, further violation of University policies at any point during the probationary period will be viewed not only as a violation based upon the act itself but also as a violation of the probation, which shall result in further action up to and including Suspension or Dismissal.
For full-time students, failure to maintain the 2.0 semester GPA and/or nine (9) credit hours requirement will result in a one-semester suspension. In the case of a part-time student who is enrolled for less than nine (9) hours at the time the disciplinary action is initiated, he/she must maintain and complete the same number of semester hours attempted with a minimum of a 2.0 GPA during the period of probation. Graduate students placed on probation must maintain a minimum of a 2.0 semester GPA for the semester hours attempted.
