Current Academic & Research Interests
Leadership and change issues within the correctional system with a particular interest in how organizational structure and culture impact the environment for both prisoners and staff. I enjoy teaching and learning about various research methodologies with a strong interest in grounded theory and other qualitative methods.

I’m an amateur radio operator with an FCC issued call sign of W8JJ. I’ve successfully made a two-way radio contact with all continents, all states, and all 3,077 U.S. counties. I also enjoy computers, guitars, and bluegrass music.
