Professional Experience:
I have practiced law for 30 years and come to FSU from the
Newaygo County Prosecutor’s Office where I served as the
elected prosecuting attorney for more than half of that time. My
practice has included Cold Case Team investigation and prosecution,
Federal Death Penalty prosecution. I have regularly trained police
officers in the law regarding Search and Seizure, Arrest, and
Avoidance of Civil Liability. I have also trained elected
prosecuting attorneys in critical decision-making, computerization
of complex criminal cases, and their staffs in appropriate
procedure and handling of the criminal justice caseload. I am a
federally certified trainer in Incident Response to Terrorist
Bombing and Prevention of Suicide Bombing.
Hobbies: Classical and popular music performance, reading, watching ACC basketball (Go, Heels!), cooking and gardening.
