Description:
The FSU Community Summer Band provides the opportunity for Ferris students, adult
community members, and local student band musicians to gather for a series of weekly
musical escapades, each of which includes a rehearsal and one or two concerts. Each
concert features a different program, making for a rich musical venture for our performing
musicians and for our friends, family, neighbors and visitors who come to watch and
listen. The concerts are presented outdoors in parks and other venues around the greater
Big Rapids area, including the Castle at Canadian Lakes and the wonderful new Big
Rapids Band Shell!
Membership:
Open to most FSU students, adult community members, high school students, and select
middle school students with a letter of recommendation from their school director.
