Scheduling and Advising

Dr. Christine Persak is the program coordinator for the B.A. in English. She advises all juniors and seniors, conducts final audits for graduation, and handles other program-related issues.

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER WITH YOUR ADVISOR:
General Education Requirements: The General Education requirements for the B.A. degree differ from those for the B.S. degrees. Along with additional credits in the cultural enrichment, social awareness, communication competence, and scientific understanding categories, you must also choose a foreign language.

Minor: Another requirement of the B.A. is a minor. There are many options to choose from. Discuss these with your advisor.

Advising Holds: Each semester an advising hold will be placed on your registration account requiring you to see your faculty advisor prior to scheduling. Once you and your advisor agree on your course schedule for the next term, your advisor will lift the hold, allowing you to register.
