The Ferris State University Social Work Program is well known in the academic world as a producer of skilled social workers from an advanced curriculum. The faculty members come from various backgrounds in the varying field of social work.

Social work is referred to as the helping profession. Geared toward creating a better
social world through qualitative change in current social relations, social workers
combine complex people skills, research and knowledge to promote social justice for

The BSW program at Ferris covers the vast continuum of social work areas, including
