Thuy Karafa has taught Introductory Psychology and Cultural Anthropology at Ferris. She has published research in the area of acculturation (i.e., adjusting to a new culture). Specifically, she has investigated Vietnamese Americans' acculturation strategies as they relate to identity maintenance and self-esteem.
