Physical Sciences

The Physical Sciences Department consists of faculty from these areas: chemistry, industrial chemistry, physics, physical science, geology and astronomy. The department offers programs in these areas: bachelor's degrees in chemistry and biochemistry and an associate's degree in Industrial Chemistry Technology. In addition, the department (in conjunction with education) offers a secondary teaching major in Chemistry and secondary teaching minors in chemistry and physics.

The department offers service courses for students in several programs, including pharmacy, optometry, biotechnology, allied health, and technology. In addition, the department offers an array of general education courses for students who need to take Scientific Understanding classes to complete their degrees.
