Lynette Vought has been an artist and educator for 25 years. After earning a Bachelor's
degree from Central Michigan University with majors in music and psychology, she taught
private piano and voice in her home studio. In 1982, she was apprenticed to sculptor
Frank James Morgan in San Diego, CA. In 1990, Ms. Vought spent a year at the art school
at Idaho Sate University, followed by two years of art and humanities classes at Ferris
State University. Since then, she earned an MA in Humanities from Central Michigan
University and is currently pursuing an MFA in Fine Art Painting at Kendall College
of Art and Design. She has been teaching drawing classes for the Visual Design and
Web Media program since 1999. She also teaches Popular Culture for the Humanities
Department at Ferris State University. In addition to her academic activities, she
has a career as a fine art painter. Her work is in several collections around the
United States, including the State of Michigan and Florida's Art in Public Buildings
program.
