John Vanderploeg holds a M.S. in Ornamental Horticulture with a specialization in Botanical Garden Administration from the University of Delaware. He teaches courses in plant identification, plant pathology, landscape design, landscape plant management, turfgrass management and field botany. His specific area of interest is in woody plant taxonomy.
