Progression Policy
Pre-Professional
Students must earn a grade of B- or better in no more than 2
attempts in the following pre-requisites:
- BIOL 109
- CHEM 103
- MATH 110
Students must earn a grade of C or better in all CAHS Core
Curriculum requirements.
- CCHS 101
- CCHS 102
- MRIS 102
Professional
A letter grade of “C” or higher is required for all
Respiratory Care Program requirements including core and general
education courses.
- Any student that receives less than a letter grade of
“C” in one Respiratory Care course must stop the
Respiratory Care sequence. They must repeat the course the next
time it is offered (if a seat is
available).
- Two unsuccessful (less than a letter grade of
“C”) attempts in any required course (or two
unsuccessful attempts in the same course) will result in
dismissal from the Respiratory Care Program.

If at any time a student’s college cumulative GPA
falls below a 2.5 they will be dismissed from the Respiratory
Care Program.

All general education requirements must be completed prior
to the start of internship. Any student not completing all
these requirements will not be allowed to enter internship.
If a student is dismissed from the program, they may not
return to the Respiratory Care Program for a minimum of 5
years.
