Public Health Program Accreditation Information
As a newly established discipline in the College of Health Professions, the Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSPH) and the Master of Public Health (MPH) programs are not yet accredited. Accreditation can only be granted once a program has graduated the first cohort of students.
The design of both the undergraduate and graduate programs in public health at Ferris State University reflect the accreditation standards for the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), which is the accrediting body for Public Health Programs.
Therefore, the process of preparing for accreditation of both programs has already begun and will culminate with an application for an accreditation site visit according to the prescribed timeline to align with the graduation of the first public health program cohorts.
Accreditation will be retrospective. In other words, when accreditation is received, degrees awarded prior to the date of accreditation will be deemed to have been awarded by an accredited public health program.
