Ferris State University requires every freshman applicant under the age of 23 to submit scores from either the American College Testing Program Assessment (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) offered by the College Board.
Information about the ACT is available online at www.act.org or by contacting American College Testing Program Registration, P. O. Box 414, Iowa City, Iowa 52240. When completing the ACT application, the student should list the Ferris College Code Number 1994.
Information about the SAT is available from the College Board, P. O. Box 592, Princeton, New Jersey 08540 or by visiting their website at www.collegeboard.com When completing the SAT application, the student should list the Ferris College Code Number 1222.
Transfer applicants are required to submit either ACT or SAT scores unless excused from testing. To be excused from testing, a student must have been enrolled in college and one of the following conditions must be met. A student must
Applicants who are 23 or older are not required to take the ACT or SAT exam for admission to the University. However, the program in which the student desires to enroll may have course placement guidelines based on ACT/SAT scores. Please contact the Office of Admissions to determine if a placement test is required.
