The academic year value of the International Transfer Scholarship is the value of the difference between International tuition charges and Resident tuition charges. Students receiving this scholarship will pay the same tuition charges as Michigan Residents up to 15 credit hours. Students must have a minimum cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.3 and a minimum of 24 accepted transfer credit hours. The transfer grade point average is calculated using all transferred grades even if they are from multiple colleges or universities.
Please note that because all Internet classes through Ferris State University are billed at the resident tuition rate for all students, the International Transfer Scholarship will not be paid for Internet classes.
The scholarship is automatically renewed for a second year if the student maintains a 3.25 or higher cumulative Ferris GPA. Students who wish to be considered for a third year of this scholarship, must continue to meet the renewal criteria of a 3.25 or higher GPA and full-time enrollment, may submit an emailed request to firstname.lastname@example.org for consideration.
Students must be enrolled full–time in an undergraduate, degree–granting program on the main Big Rapids campus only. Students meeting the International Transfer Scholarship requirements will receive automatic consideration upon admission to Ferris.
One transfer scholarship, that which provides the student with the greatest benefit, will be awarded per year.
Ferris State University Transfer Scholarship award offers are subject to the availability of funds.
