Loan Deadlines

The Friday before examination week of each semester is the loan deadline for Direct Loan and private alternative loans.

Any loan request received after the loan deadline will be processed automatically only for students who owe a balance to the University as follows:

  • Direct Loans processed after the deadline will be processed for the balance owed to the University - no excess aid refunds.
  • Alternative Loans processed after the deadline will be processed for a minimum of $1000 and a maximum of the balance owed to the University (if balance owed is over $1000).

 

Students who request loans after the deadline for more than the balance due to the University will be referred to Financial Aid Counselors for student debt counseling. Determinations will be made on a case by case basis.
