Dear admissions, On Saturday Nov. 18 I attended the Pre-Pharmacy Dog day event at FSU. I want to thank the admissions staff for their hard work in this unforgettable experience. The dog day program makes a big difference to a junior like me exploring college options. Q and A time with students really helped answer some of the questions I had about Ferris, which is important because this was my first visit. The lecture before lunch gave me valuable information about the vast career opportunities in pharmacy and how Ferris would help me prepare for such a career. The tour after lunch gave me a great feel for academic life at Ferris and I was particularly drawn to the library that seems well suited for homework and study groups. In conclusion I would like to thank the admissions staff for presenting opportunities at Ferris that I was not aware of and for helping me visualize a place for myself in the student body.
Dan (Ken's Dad) says your school is a hidden jewel; it is a perfect place for kids to learn in a beautiful state. Ken utilizes the fitness center daily, actually uses your beautiful library, and plays hockey every week. So he finds positive ways to use his time, and is not involved in things that would not be good for him. He really likes his teachers, and feels they have taken a personal interest in him. His self-confidence is much greater in school-related issues. We are so happy that Ken is happy!
On April 17 Stephen and I attended your wonderful program. I wanted to say "thank you" for the hard work, planning and special attention everyone took to make the day so pleasant. I want to commend everyone on the cleanliness of the campus, the friendliness and the valuable information shared. Although Steve is only a junior now, he is seriously considering Ferris for his college experience. Thanks!
On May 21, my daughter visited your campus for "Dawg Days." We were both so totally blown away by the friendly staff who met us at the car in the parking lot, the cleanliness of the entire campus, and the extraordinary presentation that really answered any questions that we could possible have. We had been to four other Michigan college campuses, and none even come close to what you have. Ferris is definitely my daughter's number one choice, even though there is a probable full ride scholarship at another college. We will be looking forward to the upcoming admissions process, and hope to see you all in the fall of 2006! Thank you again.
To all the staff at Ferris that made us feel very welcome at Dawg Days. Thank you very much for a great visit, my family and I were very impressed with Ferris. Especially, since we could focus on Technology Days. I really like the mission of the school and the focus of the staff. My hopes are that our son Chris could attend Ferris, he seems very interested. Hope to be in contact soon.
From our initial visit to Dawg Days, both my daughter and I have been VERRRY impressed with Ferris State! I actually had set up the Dawg Days visit, as my daughter had not Shown any prior interest. On the way home she was thanking me for Setting up the Dawg days visit.
