Pat on the Back Awards June 2009

Congratulations to —

I'm nominating Craig Roach for a pat-on-the-back because he knows what it means to communicate effectively with his customers. I've been working with him on a big project over the past few months and I always know where the project stands, as he sends email updates to me as the work progresses. I appreciate his thoughtfulness in keeping me informed on the progress of my work order request.

Teresa Havens deserves a huge pat on the back for outstanding service during the Rock Shuttle. Not only did she do her regular duties but also dispatched 7 drivers 12 hours per day 5 days per week, with daily schedule changes. She is a true professional and a valuable Physical Plant employee.

A Bulldog Pat on the Back Award is in order for the FSU Bus Drivers for an outstanding job in operating the Rock Shuttle as well as all other academic, athletic, and administrative trips this spring. 5802 miles were driven on the shuttle with a total of 28,449 incident free passenger boardings. A round of applause to Joe Bechaz, Jim Boyd, Dana Carey, David Erskin, Marilyn Erskin, James E. Lindsey, and Wendy Starks. Your skill and professionalism are greatly appreciated.

Thank you to Dave Steffens in Information Technology Services for putting in extra hours and rearranging his schedule to get the Banner patches for the Race/Ethnicity in so this survey could go out to employees and students before the end of the term. Timeliness is crucial!

Both Terri Aldrich and Rob Huston of Information Services are deserving of a pat-on-the-back for their work in migrating the College of Professional and Technological Studies' website to the main Ferris servers. They worked very hard and diligently to complete a project that on its face seems an easy task, but involves much testing and careful work to keep all of our systems and information safe, working, and secure. Thanks to Terri and Rob!
