Students can create short films to be entered in up to four categories and will upload their videos to YouTube using a naming convention. Students also must submit an electronic application via OrgSync to verify their entry. These short videos will capture the spirit of being a Bulldog. Naming Convention:
SocialFest_[Name of Category]_[Name of Video]

Screenings of the entries will held Sept. 10 in the Rankin Center Dome Room (the first 75 people to arrive will receive a prize!). Facebook polls will be created following screenings of entries in each category and winners will be determined based on "viewer's choice." Polls will remain open for 24 hours after the event, and all entries will be posted on the Ferris Facebook page for people to vote. Winners will be announced at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 during Bulldog Bonanza. Prize packages will be awarded to winners in each category.

The Random Stuff I Heart on Campus Showcase life as a Ferris student. Feature campus landmarks, services, dining or the Big Rapids community. Entries should provide a glimpse into what makes the life of a Ferris student fun.	Don't Hate Participate A look at Student Leadership and Activities and being a student leader. You can feature a specific Registered Student Organization (RSO) or office.
Ferris State Cribs A look into student residential life at Ferris and how students have created a home away from home. This video should show why you have the coolest Ferris State Crib.	My First Days @Ferris Freshmen give a look at their first days on campus.

The Ferris State University Social Media Team and Career Services welcome Luke Wyckoff, a Ferris alumnus and owner of Social Media Energy and Wyckoff Consulting, to campus. Luke plans a one-hour presentation on the importance of social media and what it means to your future success prior to a one-hour panel discussion on social media. First 100 people receive a prize!

This is Bulldog Bonanza on social media steroids! Hang out for a night of free stuff, information on student organizations and the chance to win prizes through our Facebook photo caption contest.

Every hour during Bulldog Bonanza, the Ferris State University Facebook page will post a photo of our famed mascot Brutus. Make up caption for the photo, and the student with the most likes on his or her caption will be announced at the end of each hour. Winning students can claim a prize at the SocialFest table. Must be present to win.

This all-day event allows you to participate at any time during the day, but you do have to claim your prize by 5 p.m. Locations won't be revealed until the day of the event, and all participants who complete the hunt will get an official SocialFest t-shirt while supplies last.

In order to complete the scavenger hunt, participants must check in to all locations on the "scavenger map," unlock the Foursquare special for the location utilizing a special passport that will be distributed. The passport rules are here.
