Prior to Ferris State University Sharon spent 18 years in an enforcement and investigative capacity for the Kent County criminal justice system.  She began her career at FSU in 2007 as a Clerk/Typist for the Physical Plant and in 2008 as the Labor Relations/Equal Opportunity Assistant for the General Counsel’s office.  She joined Human Resources in 2012 as the Employee Relations Specialist/HR Generalist.  Sharon’s duties and responsibilities include providing assistance with employee and labor relations matters, employment, position audits, tuition benefit program, adjunct faculty retirement contributions, employee performance evaluations and improvement plans, new employee orientation, search committee resources, employee on-boarding and training, immigration and HR policies, procedures and processes.
