Ferris State Institutional Review Board (IRB) approves all research projects involving human subjects. The IRB's responsibilities include overseeing the protection of the rights and welfare of human subjects' involved in research. Committee members are composed of Ferris faculty, staff and community members with various backgrounds and research interests. IRB meets monthly during the academic year and as needed during summer semester.
Meetings are open to the public, except during a committee vote; investigators are encouraged to attend full board review meetings to clarify any questions or concerns members may have regarding their proposal.
