The FRF provides faculty with an active interest in conducting research, additional time to develop or expand their work at Ferris State University. The FRF allocates 25% of the Spring and Fall semester load to research activity, but does not include (nor guarantee access to) additional funds for project expenses. Fellows are expected to meet project goals and objectives in accordance with the timeline established in the application. A mid-cycle progress report, final report, and presentation to the University community (April seminar) are required of award recipients. The award is supported jointly by the Office of Academic Research and the faculty member's home college, so it is critical that applicants discuss their research plans with their Department Head and Dean well in advance of the application deadline. |
